Christmas Pt.2

As mentioned previously Olive was lucky enough to get two Christmas day's (although Mum and Dad paid for the routine disruption!!!) as the Pilgrim's senior organized a traditional Turkey dinner with the whole Pilgrim clan -an occasion one must get dressed up for -so naturally we went out and bought Olive a pretty number from Baby Gap and we all put on our best for a big family get together.

Olive rocked her festive head band this time with a demure style and got to play with her cousin Lottie and a major stash of new stuff but of course the most interesting thing was either the wrapping paper or each other's face!

All enjoyed a large helping of Turkey and the works, not forgetting plenty of Bread Sauce knocked back with a few glasses of good wine. What more do you need? So, I can safely say, all felt pretty jolly and satisfied and in the spirit of things.

Ay?

...Seconds?

I must also say that Kells' and Olive looked soooo bloomin' lovely and so here is a couple of snaps of my lovely wife and daughter enjoying a moment...

And so to finish off a wonderful meal Kellye called desert duty and knocked out yet another stunning desert; Pumpkin Cheese Cake NY style and as usual, everyone is asking when will the KP Bakery open!

Yum!

What do Olive & Dad share in the morning?

Christmas 2009

Happy Christmas!!!

We just celebrated our very 1st Christmas as a family and lucky for our small Olive she got to do it twice. Christmas day pt.1 began with just the 3 of us -up early as usual -and after a bit of the classic scrambled eggs & smoked salmon, Olive got to open her first ever present -with just a little assistance from mummy of course!

Later Granny & Grandpa Pilge came around ours for Crimbo dinner and we all got into the festive spirit with a bit of Santa fancy dress however, getting Olive to don her snazzy Santa headband was not quite happening...

(clearly mummy thought it looked good on her)

We discovered Olive's fervor for fine wines
(or any thing you else you might be drinking and she shouldn't be!)

...Easy on the Champers there Granny!

The next few days of the Holidays we enjoyed the simple things like a morning stroll through the grounds of our local Palace!

Where all the statues are nicely wrapped-up for the winter...

And the Geese relax on the lawns, the lazy Devils! surely they should have migrated south by now!

And thinking about it I reckon old King Henry would have approved of our Olive decked out in her new Crimbo coat and colourful buggy!

And one of the best things of all Olive & Dad get to hang out all day and up his cuddle quota.

Good Morning!

8am and I popped Olive in the walker for a bop around the kitchen and she had the most adorable morning face I had to grab the camera...

Err...

Oh Yes! I'll be having that please dad...

She really does love to smile for the camera! Happy girl!

Where did you get yer Boots?

A week before Christmas and little Smalls got herself an early pressie -a nice pair of furry boots just like mummies! Who bought those I wonder? Anyway, Kellye & Olive got dressed up in similar colours and matching booties and the result was some extra cuteness to get our weekend started!

(it may look otherwise but we are far from the 'first steps' but hey, love that standing-up action!)

Smiley Blue Eyes

Yesterday my little girl made my heart melt and here are the pictures that show you why:

She was just sitting on our bedroom floor laughing and babbling at Mummy who was making various goofy faces and silly noises, that was all it was...bless her cottons!

Thanksgiving 2009

Each year we alternate celebrating Thanksgiving between family and friends and this year Aunty Amy (a.k.a the Godmother) & Northern David joined us for our traditional Turkey dinner! Although we don't have any snaps of Kellye's wonderful feast (turkey soaked in brine for 8 hours before cooking for an extra juicy bird!) we were all entertained by little sm'olive who decided to pull a face like she was sucking a lemon and by the end of the evening we were all doing the same -silly adults!

The Hair!!!

Everyone we know has commented on Olive's groovy locks and today she outdid herself with a fluffy-doo that bears a striking resemblance to that 80's band 'A Flock of Seagulls' !!!!

so cute!!!
